Our process

Stainless Steel Art and Every Other Metal We Work

How a sketch becomes a finished, installed piece.

How it works

From first conversation to installation

  1. Step 01

    Talk it through

Tell us about the space, the idea and the budget. We will come back with questions, and often a sketch.

  2. Step 02

    Design and quote

Jon draws the piece and we agree the size, metal and finish, then confirm the price and a lead time.

  3. Step 03

    Made by hand

Cut, formed and welded freehand in the workshop, using reclaimed steel wherever we can.

  4. Step 04

    Finished and installed

Finished to suit its setting, then delivered and installed by our own team.

Materials

The metals and finishes we use

Draft copy: each material will be written up from the content gathering session.

Corten weathering steel

Forms its own protective rust patina and needs no coating.

Stainless steel

Bright, hard wearing and well suited to polished interior pieces and coastal gardens.

Aluminium

Light and corrosion resistant, useful for larger wall-hung pieces.

Galvanised and powder coated

A zinc coating for longevity, with a powder coated colour on top. This is where the colour comes in.
